I don't think it was. I think it was the owner wanting to make headlines more than him wanting a quality QB. He did it with Favre years ago.

He probably thinks Rodgers is still a great QB and he's definitely better than what we had but I don't think he was the right or best option at the time.
Now we're stuck with him and his bad offensive coordinator. They should have fired so many guys this off-season but the one that pisses me off is the OL coach still having a job.
