I think one of the interesting questions from that time is what if he wasn't having home troubles and was in shape for that Starrcade match with Hogan

between him looking unsharp and Hogan's politicking and how it went down, they blew one of the best builds in history and paid off nothing.
I doubt it ever would have changed much since Bischoff didn't have a 2nd idea that would make Hogan happy...but that was when they took their foot off WWE's neck.
Next month, Tyson and Austin happened and it was done.
