sounds like one of those jobs where before you start everyone says how simple it is blah blah, then after is when you hear those horror stories.

removing old paint from the trim and moldings in San Francisco apartments was one.
yeah you smear this goo over a section that dissolves the old paint and then scrape it off, easy peasy...
12 layers, all kinds of colors....oh the stench, the noxious chemicals you are inhaling, the grueling hours and hours.
before we started we only heard good stories, only after did everyone tell us their trials and tribulations.
at least we didn't start a fire like one told us. using a blow torch to melt the paint
