I looked into this pretty closely due to NHL 2K24 and that Top 100 list from The Athletic. A pick outside the top 15 in the NHL is similar to the NBA.

Tankathon currently has you all at #26. Barring injury, I think it'll be closer to #30. I wouldn't blink at dealing that pick for a known player at a cut rate.
