wouldn't fit. They know what's up! :-)

It's how I was taught to put the cutlery when I washed dishes. Point knives down and everything else handle down. There it makes more sense as there could be a buildup on the bottom of the part that holds the cutlery and you wouldn't want your forks and spoons touching that. No choice with the knives.
