In response to "Have you ever been to the Citi Open? It's not far from me, and I keep thinking of going but never pulled the trigger. -- nm" by MDH

Three times and it’s awesome. Thinking of going this year.

It’s a 500 level tournament for both men and women so it gets good draws. I like going during the early rounds when there are a lot of matches going on. I usually buy the cheap nosebleed ticket in the stadium. That gets you access to all the courts and I spend most of my time at the outer courts. On those courts you are really close to the action and it’s amazing to see the speed and power that close. Also, the way the grounds are set up the players have to walk through the general crowd area to get to their matches, the practice courts, etc. so you can be walking to go get food and walk right by Dominic Thiem. You can also watch the practice courts which can be fun. Players do autograph signings and other activities.

Plus I got to be this close to Grigor Dimitrov’s balls and it didn’t end with a restraining order.
