as thanks for the project I did (as well as cash) so I have literally a million (note: by "literally" I mean "warning: gross hyperbole") containers of cereal to go. I was thinking that since I don't have milk (again: single) I may as well burn some by making lisa happy.

except that "burn" is precisely the right verb here.
