canine dental is more expensive than human afaik. he might improve quite a lot w/0 infection, hell the lump might go to, the question is...

will he be a happy dog enjoying life or will there be constant invasive procedures, pain, discomfort.
it might be worth doing the dental.... but if you mix in chemo, no, give him the gift of a gentle loving exit.
my mom would take that
