I've stayed here once before, for this same conference. I looked at it as a possible for my Christmas getaway but rates were horrendous.

This weekend I get conference rates which are the same as the Marriot at the convention center - they make it up in the restaurants and bars :)
For Christmas I took a 4-night cruise for roughly the same price as two nights here would have been - and meals were included :)
