I've seen them at this conference in the past, and one of their handlers gave a presentation at one of our monthly meetings. She spoke on their

work after the Paradise wildfire. The police forensic dogs go in and find those killed in the fire. This group started to hear about families whose homes were destroyed but were most disturbed about the lost of the urn with their loved ones ashes. These dogs were able to find them.

They're actually able to find buried pre-historic remains, making the archaeologists work easier in being either to find or avoid them.
