Could have had first round picks for him in 2024 and 2025, but the Panthers didn't want to quit on 2023 or 2024. -- (edited)

So, they wound up winning too much in 2023 and then had to overpay to get the #1 overall pick.
And then they performed well in 2024 that they...got the #1 overall pick for somebody else.
