At first glance, the vote to banish Sandra was a play by the CT and Trishelle to reduce the number of winners and split the winnings.
When they’re at the fire of truth and there’s four remaining contestants, it’s clear there’s still a traitor because there was a murder the night before. Kate pretty much betrayed herself by saying she thought there were no more traitors. It was a simple logic puzzle and she failed.
If CT and Trishelle were conspiring to split the money, then choosing to vote again and voting out MJ would have been the smart move. Then they all voted for each other and things went to hell. If it was all an act to make themselves (CT and Trishelle) look innocent, it was a real gamble. Because if CT voted for MJ and MJ and Trishelle voted for CT, everything blows up.
I wonder what would have happened if they’d had a second deadlock.
