Trying to remember if TSA scans the boarding pass (I don't think so). But they do at the gate and if a screen shot (or "photo") works that's a problem

Some old ass scanners I'd guess.

On domestic flights here anyone can go through security. They don’t check anything. -- nm

They scan your ID and either scan your boarding pass to match the name or cross reference it with a passenger database
