spoils -- (edited)

the character she was adapted from was a male and like most characters in the novels, pretty wooden 2 dimension characters. The book character was certainly not a super model (ie Speed III actress) with a chip on her shoulder the size of Gibraltar scientist who looked and spoke down to every single person she interacted with. Her 'love' interest is supposed to be Saul and yet there is never one scene or anything describing them as such. (and explain to me how or why she got upset with him having a woman in his house??)

just very badly written and very badly acted. She took me out of the show every single scene she was in.

as for the aloofness of Saul, the character he was adapted from (Luo Ji) is pretty much the same. But I also do agree he could have come across better and/or given more to do.
