Let's say that the police coordinated with the media in advance.
That shouldn't be allowed. Right?
If true, it would be relatively easy to prove. Right? And would impact the longterm viability of the case?

i don't know if there are rules against tipping off the press but it does risk creating a prejudicial media environment to potential defendants -- nm
