You made a one sentence somewhat flippant remark to my initial post and then a second one sentence post in response. I don’t know what you know or don’t know, but I know that a one sentence answer doesn’t cut it and doesn’t show that you have a more nuanced or full appreciation for the issues. Sorry if I filled in the blanks incorrectly, but that goes to my whole point that this is too complex and too raw for a lot of people to deal with it flippantly. Look Marlowe, I’ve always liked you and don’t think you have bad intent, but that’s kind of why I was surprised by the tone. I’ve tried many times to tell people here to be sensitive on this issue. You may not realize what we get confronted with on a regular basis here. Protests with people chanting “From the river to sea” and claiming it doesn’t mean what it means. Calling Hamas freedom fighters and justifying their actions, often coming from people that I probably share a lot of political views with. It’s just raw. So I’m sorry if I overreacted,but I say again that this is an issue that can be discussed here, but it does require care that is often not necessary here for other less sensitive issues.
