Easily. Waiting list for season tickets is years long. A huge part of Buffalo's market is people coming across from Ontario.

An arena was almost commissioned without a definitive team a few years ago just north of the city. F
If the Leafs ever won the cup, it will be the largest parade on the continent by far. In spite of that there are plenty of people who would support a second team.
It was huge when the Blue Jays won in the 90s and the Raptors a few years ago but those would pale in comparison.
