Then it seems a bit odd to point out just WSJ if all polling is terrible.

I agree that polling can be off. I don't trust it. But the two elections prior the polling has underestimated Trump support.
With the current polling even if we swing it 5 points in Biden's favor, it's still in a place where 2016 can happen all over again.
