There was a guy on CNBC this morning projecting only a 14% market share for EV's by 2050. I didn't catch the whole thing but one reason he stated

for the low number is Toyota's push for hybrids over ev's
Not sure who he was, but the hosts were a skeptical of his numbers. (fwiw I am too)
