In response to "I would personally put my most influential age higher than 13. More like 17-20 for me. -- nm" by Dano

I don't even know how I would answer this. I think my music habits are signified by multiple inflection points in my life. I didn't find my favorite

band until I was 33 and as it turned out, it was the best and worst of times as shortly after I figured that out, they released a major label album and then broke up but The Distillers were like the apex of this vague idea of chicks who rock which I could trace from the Go-Gos to Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Lita Ford, later Garbage. Oh and then there was the moment, embarrassingly much closer to Garbage in the timeline: Oh, hey, there was the all girl band The Runaways who's line up included uh, Lita Ford and Joan Jett. Huh.

I got divorced and so went to concerts on my own like Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves so there's my dabbling in country these days.

Going to Coachella introduced me to numerous female artists and that's still impacting my listening as on today's To Do List is to buy tickets at 10AM for The Last Dinner Party's show at The Fonda.

Going to Aftershock and When We Were Young made me realize that I really, really like OC punk and the pop punk of the 90s so I'm listening to music that's kind of age appropriate but I didn't really get it when I was living through the first time. Like, I should've seen Bad Religion as many times as I've seen The Distillers if only it had clicked back in the 90s.

Some combination of that women thing, raised on 70s pop, 80's synths is the explanation I have for Little Boots, Charli XCX, Blackpink, Little Mix, Tove Lo .

Oh and Reagen is completely responsible for the carolesdaughter thing.
