Yes, in a way it does in that the actions in Gaza poses no direct threat to the protestors. They are advocating for others and risking arrest doing so

That is commendable.
My point is in '68 and throughout the war, the message was to try and save their own lives and those of their peers.
Sure, those were "anti war protests" which could be said of today's. But again, the government wanted to send *the protesters* to battle.
Most thought like Muhammad Ali who famously said ‘I Ain’t Got No Quarrel With Them Vietcong’.
