there are nearly 10,000 Palestinians in jail, up from about half that amount last October. there is little evidence they're being held over anything but another punitive measure against Palestinian people (as in, they are not Hamas fighters). getting some of those people released is easy for Israel - they're not really losing anything by letting those people go.

- I doubt that's the issue. Prisoners for hostages was part of the first cease fire and Hamas will call it whatever they want regardless of the - pmb May 6, 12:06 1
