First day is in the books and whisper described it best. “Drinking from a fire hose.” You’d think I’d be good with such phallic objects.

I don’t think there is a factor of if I can do this. I absolutely can do it. I can make this work for me, and maybe even quite appreciably well.

Just gotta get through the part where I’m being not-really-trained yet, actually get trained, and then get the hours scheduled and done.

The best part of today: Following the leaders around before getting the least bit acclimated showed me how chaos reigns supreme. It won’t be THAT hard all the time once I’m in position. And it was a good test to see what might be on down the line if I decided to do that. There’s also splitting my time between departments which is what I really think is much more likely?

The worst part of today: Really nothing. General anxiety of ‘will this work out’ is fairly natural right out of the gate. Storms are expected tomorrow which could be a problem in getting there and back.

Thank you all my friends. I’m not in the clear, but you guys really are amazing people who I am humbled to know.
