FWIW, can you imagine the atmosphere on campus with freshmen getting paid a quarter-million $$$ a month?

For the "have nots", there's going to be a real sense of disenfranchisement, and there's also going to be some serious power imbalance between students which - gasp - is likely going to result in abuse (you know exactly what I mean).
