I've missed a bunch of episodes this season. Tonight's episode is labeled as the Finale but - spoilers -- (edited)

They jump into some accelerated time scenario and then jump back to reality with a record scratch scene that didn't make any sense to me (having little context for what led up to it). I had a strong 'what in the world am I seeing' trip.
