The new ones seem similar to that article. I'd gotten to know personally two of the three Republicans that lost and actually was on friendly terms

with them. One is the local prosecuting attorney. Another is a 20 year vet of the Air Force who became a teacher and just retired after 20 years of service in the high school. (In Idaho, the State Legislature is a part time job - the session usually being less than five months)
The third one was a former House majority leader who lost her leadership position because she clashed with the new House Speaker over the fact that the Speaker doesn't know shit about the legal budgeting process. Her big advocacy was expanding EMS services into rural areas.
Now all three of them have lost. Plus the Senate leader from Boise.
