I'd be curious to see what you think of the "new era" - it's the same...but not really.

Shorter game - so things move much quicker. Players are making moves sooner and more often. The days of an alliance lasting for more than a couple votes are gone. Much more fluid, which allows more players to be "in it".
Diverse casting has been fantastic, IMO
Longer episodes (90 minutes) - give you an opportunity to actually get to know ALL the players, not just the final 4 and the person that eats screen time.
They've changed up idols and advantages quite a bit - there's not as many. They're harder to get. Also - the players are really learning how to work around idols. For example - 6 people went home this season with idols in their pockets. (1 medevac and 5 blindside votes) Hell, we had 4 Tribals in a row where people went out with idols.
It still has some problems - the final 4 fire making being the big one for me.
