I refuse to see this verdict as anything significant.

I’m the guy who mockingly posted “This time for sure!” over and over again. Nothing sticks to him. I’m trying to find some glimmer that something’s going to change. A GOP Congressman turned against Trump. Meh. A juror who was sure to cause a hung jury was convinced to convict. Whatever.

Even if the conviction stands, he’ll get a slap on the wrist and it won’t preclude him from running for office. Maybe it even emboldens his base.

The only real glimmer I see is the report that after he spoke to the press, he turned away dejected. If we can break his confidence… if his arrogance is gone, then he’s COOKED. His base doesn’t want someone humbled.
