At the previous place I probably made more than some of the assistants, but they didn’t get a big bump when moving to that tier. -- (edited)

Longivitity is how I got to being paid quite a bit for the work. And I definitely think it was a factor in them getting rid of me.
Now? I’m unfortunately at their usual starting wage.
