Nope, first I'm hearing about it. We had a TV video game where you played live using your phone. You called in and said, "Pix" every time you wanted -- (edited)

to shoot. There was someone at the TV station using an Intellivision and would push the button when the caller said, "Pix."
Some people figured if you just said the word as much and as fast as possible it would rapid fire. So, you'd end up hearing, "PixPixPixPixPixPix" when someone played. It was awesome!
