him: Hey, how's the weather over there in MD?
me: *tells him about MD weather*
him: I'm out in Portland, OR, and today is 110 degrees! It's been a total heat wave the last few days! It's so unlike the normal weather here!
me: Oh yeah, I heard! I have a friend in OR who has been complaining for 2 days that he's melting! I don't think he can deal with the heat!
(I didn't tell him about jeans in vegas, though.) :p
