The whole thing is such a dice roll, too. Fried looked like he needed his #2 TJS last year, but he rehabbed instead.

His stuff was as good as it's ever been last night. So, I'm hopeful we extend him, but I fully understand if we don't.
The contract he gets is a time bomb, even though he's one of the best pitchers in baseball.
We got Strider early at below-market rates, which reduces the risk there. I think that's the play moving forward.
