i did up through AP history in HS. in hindsight . . . even mid-80s AP history curriculum was not great.

especially the intro stuff is just dates and big picture milestone shit.
but even AP i feel like, knowing what i know now, was not a truly critical look at events and institutions. very much still was consensus/conventional wisdom based look back
