Due to timing, our US History 1 went from 1600 to 1865 and US History 2 was Reconstruction to WW2.

There was a good amount of teaching about Gilded Age, the WW1 time frame, the Depression, then WW2.
Our history teacher made up an elective for 1946-modern (1995) but we only got through Vietnam
We didn't learn a ton about World History in our 9th grade history class...almost all of it was centered around the grand European empires from Greeks / Romans / Dark Ages / Colonization / WW1 / WW2
