We had a general education curriculum that every major took. Can't recall if it was set by the school or the state -- (edited)

I think primarily by the state, with perhaps some school requirements on top?
My recollection (maybe not complete) is that it included:
- History (6 credits / 2 courses)
- US to 1865
- US since 1865
- Political Science (6 credits / 2 courses)
- US Government
- Texas Government
- Math (6 credits / 2 courses)
- basically anything except remedial math
- Science (8 credits / 2 courses)
- basically anything
- Humanities (6 credits / 2 courses)
- long list of options (I think I took sociology and philosophy)
- Physical Education (4 credits / 4 courses)
I could be forgetting something, not sure.
