we’d never make fun of someone for the mental illness side of things, it was more the sometimes seemingly intentional lack of critical thinking.

the gay MLB dealio comes to mind. for someone who’s somewhere in LGBTQ+ to not have a moment’s pause that the story would have been all over the place was particularly “is this for real?”-inducing.
in any case, I sincerely hope they’re well wherever they are.
