a woman with whom I work got married in may and took off two weeks for her wedding and travel. I assumed that "travel" was "honeymoon."
|
I just messaged her and her autoreply says that she is on her honeymoon through 6/24. I asked her BU leader if it was a stale OOO and the BU lead told me that travel after the wedding is meant to destress, and that the honeymoon -- which happens later -- is bonding time.
I literally had no idea this was a thing.

When my grandparents got married they did it on Labor Day weekend to use Monday as their honeymoon, back to work on Tuesday. -- nm

If getting married is that stressful, you're doing it wrong.
