Some folks started a Change.org petition to explode the whale carcass on the Oregon coast -- in response to a state government press release stating that, no, unlike last time, we're not going to try to blow up a whale carcass to get rid of it.

Silly. But, apparently, enough folks in state government are now concerned about public opinion to pay attention to it.
