it's not even the profit participation, they were told they basically had to 'stay dead' following the release, so they couldn't capitalize on the

and they aren't really complaining, exactly, they are saying 'don't do this.'
they were young and inexperienced and it was a no-budget indie, it's not their fault they signed the papers, but they were treated badly, there's no question.
