Well let's be honest, at least a part of the coverage, or lack thereof, was based on the "star power" of the respective player.

But I am also troubled by the lesser degree (lack of?) of outrage shown towards him in that case.
At what point do we (we being society in general) get over our obsession with celebrity and show idiots like this the dark corner of the world where they can't be seen or heard?
