You don't play the big song that everyone wants to hear until the end of the set. (Except at that Nada Surf show I went to.)

It was when Popular was a hit. You could tell they were tired of it. They came out and played it as their first song and then continued with the set.
So much better than when I saw Wheatus at a festival. After the first song (and after every song) at least one idiot yelled "Teenage Dirtbag!" They, of course, closed with it but I was hoping that they wouldn't play it all by that point just to see the crowd reaction.
