I’m so thrilled to hear David, while ailing, isn’t like seriously in trouble health wise. Similarly, I had Covid. And didn’t know it until yesterday.

I started getting a sore throat and cough on Thursday. Masked for work Friday and felt worst. Had some chills and a low grade fever. Some bathroom issues.

None of this made me think Covid though. Every other time I tested under these conditions for years it was negative.

Worked a short Saturday shift in cosmetics. Decided to test on Sunday and well huh. I stayed home yesterday. Work sadly doesn’t give a shit about Covid anymore so it won’t be excused but an entire day of rest sure did me some good.

So anyway. Basically today still have a fractional temperature and some sweating. But it’s also very much summer here now. No other symptoms other than a clammy “you are sick” feeling.

I’ll return to work tomorrow with more masking. So, that’s the story of me finally knowing that I got Covid but almost didn’t because I didn’t think my symptoms were bad and nearly didn’t test.
