That's just the number of tickets given to the Mayor's office and other politicos. They give away 10k tickets (now 20k) for each free day.

I have to think there are other giveaway outlets through sponsors as well. I had no problem getting a freebie a few years back, and discounted tickets via my friend's military association years prior.

Should it be cheaper? Maybe. But as per usual, the Mayor is being a bullheaded dick.
