strong anti-expert feeling. It's the whole "hey fam, I have a secret for you" aspect of online media where you generate a following by claiming that you have information that no one else does and certainly not the institutions or experts. It's pervasive in diet culture, finance, etc. etc. etc.
What they were discussion was how that ultimately is political in nature even if they are never explicitly talking about politics. It was from this episode
