I really like the idea of the fans supporting the player instead of what we usually do, especially Yankees fans, which is boo them mercilessly. -- (edited)

Making them feel worse about something they know they're failing at isn't usually the best way to get them going again. For some though, a good kick in the ass is what's needed.

I wear my emotions on my sleeve have been known to boo and say things when guys are playing like shit. But I've come around to the idea that we shouldn't do that so quickly and should really try supporting them. If that doesn't work then we go to the booing. :-)
