I feel that the government will only rape us a little where the oil companies in their greed will rape us to death and they will not care.

They can and literally do - charge what they want - supply/demand - whatever - it's a bunch of crap. They band together and charge whatever - how is that better/worse then a government run energy system?

going out of business? or you serious?!!! AIG is not out of business - GM is not going out of business - banks - Fannie Mae -all run horribly and still in business with our tax money - so I guess the companies are in it with the government at this point, cause no one is looking out for us.

You do have a good point - there is no reason to think the government would not be as corrupt as the other companies.

I have no idea but it is very frustrating.
