TODAY- OVERDUE GRATITUDE- with Kimberly and David. I am posting a long owed thanks today. I belong to an online group that will , among so many other things, run a Secret Santa in December.
Also this online, community will play a lot of fantasy football. I needed help drafting my team's while I was at work and so Kim graciously agreed to do that.
I had been following the Seahawks preseason and had really started to like the play of rookie Jake Bobo. I had indicated in my draft cards that I wanted Kim to draft Jake Bobo for me as the last pick in both of my deep leagues.
David, Kim's partner, started giving me a bad time about picking Jake Bobo. He did this because he is an Atlanta Falcons fan, ergo he doesn't understand football all that well.
The season went on and in a funny to only those who were involved situation, forgot Jake's name and called him Josh Bobo. She probably did this as the dear woman lives with an Atlanta Falcons fan. That has to mess with your brainwaves at times.
So the Christmas season arrived and I got a Secret Santa box. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and found the coolest Build-a-bear ever and his certificate said his name was Josh Bobo.
Also in the box was a UCLA football card autographed by Jake Bobo! And I felt my eyes get moist when I found a graded near mind rookie card of my guy, Edgar Martinez.
Also I got a Tennessee sticker (that is where they are from). And a small box of delicious Bradley chocolates.
I told my online community about it and promised to post photos. I then forgot about doing that. So here they are now.
I don't know what I did to be blessed by all the wonderful friends I have. Kim and David, you're the best. Once again, thank you so much.
