July 10 update...

So, yesterday we had power for 5 minutes. 🫠
So, currently, we have been without power for 55 hours as of this post. Cell service is still very spotty. Husband and first son went to work, so second son and I have found an open Starbucks to enjoy the air conditioning, charge the power banks, and get cell service. It looks like about half of this side of Houston has power now, so maybe soon?
We have bags of ice in the freezer and that seems to be keeping things cold enough. The butter was still hard this morning when I made bread and butter. If this goes on much longer, I'll probably lose it all, but it's just food. I can get more.
