Follow up cruise question - is there something special about booking 18 months in advance?

I have seen some Reddit comments that seem to hint that this is good in some way. Are there better discounts at 18 months? Or is it that your choices start to diminish at that time?

No. Typically that's as far out as they make schedules though.
