Shouldn't the system work in a way that any officer of the court - especially a *judge* - can see that you have evidence someone was possibly responsible -- (edited)

for manslaughter and maybe something ought to be done about that? Rather than saying "not my job, I'm only here to rule on procedure"; "not my job, I'm only here to win cases I think I can win"; "not my job, I'm only here to beat the rap"? Where's the justice for the deceased and the state in that?

If a judge can order people be locked up and order lawyers to defend clients, why is it unreasonable to expect him to step in and order some procedure to hold a possible suspect in manslaughter if the prosecutor is too busy licking his wounded ego?
